Rising Sun's
Educator of the Year

As part of its overall program of support for education, Rising Sun Lodge annually presents its Educator of the Year Award, consisting of an Award Plaque and Cash Honorarium, to a worthy teacher or administrator from area school districts.

Each year the award is announced publically in area papers and nominations are accepted, from Freemasons, schools, local organizations and clubs, and members of the public, on behalf of educators deemed worthy of such recognition.  Some of our recent winning educators have included Ms. Jacquelyn Stypulkowski of the Cherry Hill Public Schools, Ms. Maggie Gammie of Haddonfield Memorial High School, Sister Marianne McCann, Principal of Paul VI High School in Haddon Township, Ms. Allie Westerside of the Haddonfield Public School System, and Ms. Patricia Flannery, of the Gloucester Township School System.

The Educator of the Year Award and our Scholarship Grants are awarded at our annual Education Banquet, on the first Wednesday in June, held jointly with Lazarus Lodge No. 303, F&AM, which also meets in Haddonfield Masonic Temple and has a similar awards program for educators.

If you would like to request a Nomination Form on behalf of a worthy educator, please click the Nomination button below and submit your name and e‑mail address.

If you wish to financially support our Educator of the Year Program, please see the information on our Scholarship Grants and consider a donation to the Rising Sun Scholarship Fund, Inc., which also supports the Educator of the Year Program.
